FitQ is introducing a new and exciting tool on its platform that allows you to objectively measure your physical fitness: the FitQ Fitness Index. You can quickly find your current fitness index score right on your desktop (see image). But what exactly is the fitness index, and how is it calculated?
The FitQ Fitness Index takes into account the results of our three AI tests:
- 1-minute push-up test
- 1-minute sit-up test
- 1-minute squat test
For each test, your result is first evaluated and then compared to the expected average for people of your age and gender. We take into account your best results from tests taken within the last 3 months to avoid constant recalculations—for example, if you took the test just as part of your workout routine or if the camera didn’t record the results properly for some reason.
As with an IQ test, the average score for the FitQ index is 100 points. A score above this is above average, and a score below 100 is below the expected average. Today’s index calculation is based on expected average results and does not currently take into account the specific characteristics of our test or the average of our users. As more data is collected in the future, we’ll be able to start making real comparisons with our users’ average scores.
